روسيا والصين يحمون النظام باستخدام حق الفيتو

استخدمت روسيا والصين حق النقض الفيتو لإسقاط مشروع القرار العربي الغربي في مجلس الأمن والذي يهدف لإقرار خطة الجامعة العربية التي تدعو إلى تسليم بشار الأسد كامل سلطاته إلى نائبه. وقد قوبل الفيتو في الخارج بانتقادات شديدة، حيث قالت السفيرة الأميركية في الأمم المتحدة أن بلادها تشعر بالاشمئزاز من موقفي روسيا والصين وأن مجلس الأمن وقع منذ شهر رهينة للمصالح الضيقة لروسيا والصين. وأضافت أنه لا يمكن التسامح مع إفشال المحاولة اليوم وأن روسيا والصين ما زالا يسعيان لبيع الشعب السوري ودعم الطاغية

وعقب مجزرة حمص أمس التي ذهب ضحيتها نحو 337 شخصاً قررت تونس طرد السفير السوري وسحب الاعتراف بنظام الأسد. بينما قام المتظاهرون باقتحام مبنى السفارة السورية في ليبيا ومصر والكويت وألمانيا وقاموا بنزع علم الجمهورية السورية ورفعوا مكانه علم الثورة السورية. وتم أيضاً استهداف السفارات في الجزائر واليونان والقنصلية السورية في جدة بمظاهرات

ويُذكر أن مجزرة أمس في الخالدية التي أدت إلى أكثر من 337 قتيل و1300 جريح معظمهم مهدد بالوفاة بسبب فقدان المواد الطبية اللازمة للجراحة تم تنفيذها حسب بعض المصادر من أجل إشعال الحرب الطائفية في الداخل، إذ بدأ القصف بعد قيام النظام بإزالة الحواجز الأمنية حول الأحياء العلوية

وفي ريف دمشق، ما تزال الفرقة الرابعة تحاول تقتحم مضايا من طريق التكية بواسطة 70 آلية عسكرية ومن جهة الجبل الشرقي مترافقة بقصف من طائرتين على البلدة واستخدام عشرين دبابة مما أدّى إلى نزوح جماعي للأهالي. وما زال القصف متواصلاً على مضايا والزبداني مما أدى إلى احتراق عدة بيوت. وتم قطع الكهرباء عن مدينة الزبداني وقطع جميع أنواع الاتصال ومنع الناس من الخروج أو الدخول إلى لمدينة. وتوقفت جميع الأنشطة الحيوية وتم منع دخول المحروقات والطحين إلى المدينة، وانتشرت روايات عن تسميم مياه الشرب في الزبداني. وفي داريا، بدأت حملة عسكرية على المدينة سقط خلالها أكثر من سبعة عشر قتيلاً بالإضافة الى عشرات الجرحى والمعتقلين. وما زالت المعارك مستمرة في الرستن في حمص وفي جبل الزاوية في إدلب

Russia and China Protect the Regime With A Veto

Residents of the Khaldiya neighborhood in Homs mourn their dead after at least 337 were killed yesterday

Summary of Events

Russia and China vetoed the UNSC draft resolution put forth by the Arab League to settle the Syrian issue by handing over Bashar’s authorities to his Vice-President. The veto was met with condemnations and criticisms as the US Ambassador to the UN said that her country is revolted by Russia and China’s stance and that the UNSC has fell captive to their narrow interests for over a month. The Ambassador added that Russia and China cannot be forgiven for the failure of today’s attempt, and that they continue to bargain people’s lives for the support of the tyrant.

Tunisia decided to withdraw its recognition of the Assad regime and expel the Syrian Ambassador in light of the Homs massacre. Meanwhile, demonstrators broke into the Syrian embassy building in Libya, Egypt, Kuwait, and Germany, and replaced the Syrian flag with the Syrian Revolution flag. Syrian embassies in Algeria, Greece, and the Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia were also targeted with demonstrations.

Yesterday’s massacre in Homs led to at least 337 deaths and more than 1300 critical injuries as no medical supplies are allowed into the city. According to residents in Alawite neighbourhoods, the regime withdrew all protection and checkpoints from their areas to allow any party to attack their residential areas. Many suspect a false-flag operation soon.

In the suburbs of Damascus, the Fourth Regiment attempted to invade Zabadani through the Takiyya road with at least 70 armoured units, and from the Eastern mountain side with 20 tanks and two helicopter gunships amidst heavy shelling. Many houses were wrecked and burnt from the bombardment triggering a mass evacuation. Electricity, water, and communication were cut off the city of Zabadani, while all roads to the city and all food supplies were blocked. Toxic material was allegedly dumped in the city’s water stream. In Daraya, more than seventeen were killed as the regime launched a vicious attack on the demonstrators, while clashes continued in Rastan in Homs and in Jabal Zawiya in Idlib
