ارتكب النظام السوري فجر السبت ٤ شباط/فبراير ٢٠١٢ واحدة من أبشع جرائمه منذ بداية ثورة الكرامة حيث قام بقصف عشوائي على الأحياء المدنية في حمص في كل من حي الخالدية والقصور والتي راح ضحيتها ما يزيد عن 260 شهيد ومئات الجرحى من النساء والأطفال والرجال حيث تم قصف المباني والبيوت بشكل مكثف عشوائي، بالإضافة لقيامه بقصف جسر الشغور وريف دمشق والغوطة الشرقية فيما يبدو أنه إعداد لمجازر مشابهة

إن المجلس الوطني السوري يدعو العالم إلى الخروج عن صمته المخجل والتحرك من أجل إيقاف نزيف الدم السوري الذي بات من المستحيل تحمله أكثر من ذلك ونطالب روسيا بالابتعاد عن موقفها المتعنت والمخزي أمام مجازر النظام ونطالبها بإدانة النظام بشكل واضح وتحمل مسؤولياتها من أجل إيقاف المذابح في سورية والانتقال بشعبها نحو نظام ديمقراطي يضمن الحرية والكرامة

Massacres Continue; SNC Demands Action
 

In the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 4, 2012, the Assad regime committed one of the most horrific massacres since the beginning of the uprising in Syria. Assad forces randomly bombed residential areas in Homs, including Khaldiyeh and Qusoor, which resulted in at least 260 civilians killed and hundreds of wounded, including men, women, and children. During the attack, residential buildings and homes were randomly and heavily bombed. Meanwhile, Assad forces also bombed Jisr al-Shughoor, Damascus Suburbs, and East Ghouta in what seems to be preparations for similar massacres.

The Syrian National Council (SNC) calls on everyone around the world to speak up and do something to stop the bloodshed of innocent Syrians. The SNC demands that Russia change its position regarding the Syrian regime's massacres. The SNC also demands that Russia clearly condemn the regime and hold it responsible for the massacres, to stop the killing in Syria, and allow Syrians to democratically elect a regime that ensures freedom and dignity for all Syrians.
