حسب بيان الهيئة العامة للثورة السورية فقد أطلقت قوّات
الأسد قذيفتين من مضادات الشيلكا على مجموعة من الصحفيين تحت سيطرة قوات
الأسد كانوا يُعدّون تقارير عن حي الكرامة الجديدة وحي النزهة في جنوب
مدينة حمص. ولقي صحفي فرنسي مصرعه إثر هذا الهجوم، حيث كان الصحفي يصوّر
تحقيقاً لبرنامج قناة فرنسا 2، وأصيب مصوّر هولندي أيضاً وعدة أشخاص كانوا
بجوارهم. ويُذكر أنّ النظام أعلن بأنّ الهجوم تمّ بقذائف هاون على الحشد
إلّا أنّ المنشقين ليس بحوزتهم هذا النوع من الأسلحة. وهذه هي أوّل حادثة
يقتل فيها صحفي غربي في سورية منذ بدء المظاهرات. وقد طالبت خارجية فرنسا
بتشكيل لجنة تحقيق للكشف عن ملابسات هذه الحادثة، حيث كان الوفد الصحفي تحت
حماية وقيادة النظام الذي لم يسمح للصحفيين بالتوغل في حمص وحدهم
أوقفت السلطات القبرصية سفينة شحن روسية باسم تشاريوت بعد
اكتشاف وجود الأطنان من المتفجرات والأسلحة على متنها وكانت متجهة إلى
ميناء اللاذقية. وقد رست السفينة التي أبحرت من روسيا في ميناء ليماسول
القبرصي بسبب عاصفة اضطرتها للرسو. وقامت السلطات القبرصية بإخلاء سبيل
السفينة بعد أن تعهد قبطانها بتغيير وجهتها. وتمّ أيضاً اعتراض أربع شاحنات
محملة بمُعدَّات عسكرية متجهة من إيران إلى سورية عبر الأراضي التركية.
وقد صادرت سلطات الجمارك التركية الشاحنات عند معبر أونجوبينار الحدودي
وقتلت قوّات الأسد اليوم 24 شخصاً، وأصابت المئات في
اشتباك لقوّاته مع جنود منشقين في بلدة الطيّانة في ديرالزور، وفي قصف عنيف
لبلدتي كرناز وكفرنبُودة في ريف حماة بسبب لجوء جنود منشقين إليهما

French Journalist Killed in Syria, and Regime-Bound Weapon Shipments Seized

Summary of Events
According to the Syrian Revolution General Commission, security forces
fired two shells from an infantry fighting vehicle at a crowd of
journalists under the supervision and control of the regime, killing a
French journalist working for France 2, and injuring a Dutch cameraman
and several Syrians. The journalists were preparing reports on the
Karama Jadeeda and Nazha neighbourhoods south of Homs. The regime
announced that terrorists fired artillery shells at the crowd,
eventhough artilleries are only to be found with the regime official
army and are extremely inaccurate in striking their target. This is the
first incident in which a western journalist has ever been killed in
Syria since the beginning of the revolution. The French Foreign Ministry
demanded the regime to initiate a thorough investigation of this
incident, because he was under the tight control, supervision, and
supposed protection of the regime, since no journalists are allowed to
wander off in Homs on their own.
Cypriot authorities seized a Lattakia bound Russian ship by the name of
Chariot. The ship, which docked at the port of Limassol after setting
sail from Saint Petersburg and facing rough waves, was found to be
carrying tons of ammunitions and explosives. Cypriot authorities
released the ship after ordering the captain to change direction. More
weapon shipments bound to the regime have also been seized at the
Syrian-Turkish borders, as four trucks comingfrom Iran were confiscated
by the Turkish customs. The trucks were seized at the Unjo Pinar border
crossing after military equipment was discovered abroad.
Assad’s forces killed at least 24 civilians today, and injured hundreds
more as the regime clashed with defected soldiers in the town of Tayana
in Deir Azzour, and shelled at the towns of Kirnaz and Kafarnabouda in
Hama after soldiers defected and escaped there.
